Explorers’ cycle tour in the Quellenviertel – a fun day out by the water along the route

Hop on your bike, take a dip, then cycle on. Summer can be that simple.

The Explorer Cycle Tour not only takes you through varied landscapes, but also past a surprising number of lakes and swimming spots. From Lake Wöhrsee below Burghausen Castle, via Lake Holzöstersee, to Lake Mattsee, there are plenty of opportunities along the way for a refreshing break.

Sometimes all it takes is a quick dip to cool your feet and catch your breath. And sometimes that planned break turns into a proper swim after all. So in summer, it’s best to pack your swimming trunks or bikini straight into your cycle bag.

And afterwards? Back on your bike, enjoy the breeze and carry on exploring. Because there’s more than just swimming lakes along the route: discover the most beautiful natural spots, viewpoints, historic sites, places to enjoy and special experiences along the Discovery Cycle Tour.
