Step by Step in Nature
The Trattnachtal Nature Trail runs 2.5 km along the Trattnach River from Wallern to Bad Schallerbach. With 22 informational signs about local flora and fauna and plenty of benches, this trail is perfect for families. For those who prefer a more active experience, Wallern offers four jogging and walking trails. The wALLErn AKTIV Park provides people of all ages with 14 stations to train all areas of motor skills and guarantees fun while staying active. You can also stay in shape by playing tennis or trying your hand at asphalt stock shooting. And for soccer fans, there’s an artificial turf field with floodlights.

The Wallern Founding Trail is an 8-station loop trail that traces the founding history of the 1,200-year-old community of Wallern, offering interesting insights into the past and present. Take a stroll past the Protestant and Catholic churches, the Franzosenkapelle, the Trattnachtal Nature Trail, and the flower park. The local history museum offers insights into the folk culture and history of Wallern. Tours are held on Saturdays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and by appointment.
