At DINOLAND, visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area spanning 40,000 square meters! As they explore the expansive research grounds, they embark on an exciting journey back to a long-gone geological era more than 200 million years ago, featuring over 70 life-size and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors will find themselves face to face with impressive giants such as the Tyrannosaurus rex, the Triceratops, and the Stegosaurus—to name just a few of the most famous dinosaurs. They all tell fascinating stories and are sure to delight researchers of all ages! All models were crafted true to the originals under scientific guidance. Thanks to sophisticated animatronics, some of them can even move and make sounds that are deceptively lifelike.

🦕 Interactive and Educational
DINOLAND has created a unique prehistoric classroom where interactive children’s areas invite visitors to discover, touch, and try things out. Instead of a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore exciting facts about these prehistoric giants and their era in the beautiful setting of Katzenberg Castle.
In addition to the impressive exhibits, the adventure park offers a diverse and extraordinary hands-on program for all ages. In the Dinodrome, young visitors can zoom around on dino scooters, ride life-size dinosaurs, and win a personalized explorer’s pass during the Dino Rally. Sifting for treasures and uncovering fossils at the Research Camp—where children become amateur archaeologists—is both exciting and educational!

There’s also a wide variety of challenging climbing and crawling structures, giant slides, an enchanted maze, exciting balancing paths, a Flying Fox where you can “fly” from tree to tree while gliding along a rope, and the DINOLAND water playground! This water-themed play paradise isn’t just a huge source of fun for little water lovers—there’s also a great educational concept behind it! A drinking fountain provides free refreshment on hot days, while a gold panning station and new fossil rocks for the explorer camp make the outing thrilling and exciting.

Of course, DINOLAND’s tried-and-true attractions remain, but visitors can look forward to some fantastic new ones: New dinosaurs are set to breathe fresh life into the upcoming season.

Visitors should definitely plan on spending at least three hours on the roughly one-kilometer-long loop trail! All attractions except the dino rides and the gold panning station are included in the admission price. Children under four years old get in free.
