In the equestrian village of Ampflwang, everything revolves around horses – and having a really good time in the saddle. With a wealth of experience, genuine passion and a keen understanding of both people and animals, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for here: from a relaxing riding holiday to targeted skill development in the saddle.
Whether it’s an all-inclusive club hotel, a cosy riding centre or an Icelandic horse stud with a family atmosphere – there’s something to suit everyone in the Quellenviertel. Beginners can ease into riding step by step, whilst more advanced riders can refine their technique and style – whether it’s tölting, Western riding, working on the lunge or carriage driving.
And out and about? The Hausruck Forest awaits. Gentle hills, peaceful paths and plenty of space to see the world from a different perspective – namely from horseback. Just as it should be.
The little ones aren’t left out either: ponies, first attempts at riding and experiences you won’t forget in a hurry. And if you bring your own horse, you’ll be right in the thick of things rather than just watching from the sidelines – with suitable stabling and the best possible care.
The equestrian village of Ampflwang is a place in the Quellenviertel where horses aren’t just pretty pictures in leaflets, but are a real part of the community. It’s all about riding holidays, riding lessons, trail rides, family time and nature in the Hausruck Forest. Lovely if you like horses. Even better if you like the woods too.
For horse lovers, families, children, beginners, experienced riders and anyone who enjoys being outdoors. Here, you can go horse-riding on your own, in a group or with your family.

Yes. Icelandic horses play an important role in the equestrian village of Ampflwang, including at the Hausruckhof Riding Centre. They are even-tempered, sure-footed and well-suited to riding lessons, trail rides and leisurely rides through the Hausruck Forest.
Yes. The Aldiana Club, the Hausruckhof Equestrian Centre and the Koaser Minerl Horse Farm offer horse riding facilities right on the premises. It’s so convenient: you can go straight from breakfast to the stables. It doesn’t get much closer than that.
Yes. For girls aged 10 and over, there are horse-riding holiday camps available all year round during school holidays. The children stay overnight at the stables, eat with the host family, go for a ride twice a day and spend the rest of the day at the stables with the animals. Girls with no riding experience are also welcome.
The Hausruckwald boasts an extensive network of over 400 kilometres of well-maintained bridleways and leisure trails. It has been an integral part of the region since 2006. Vast meadows, woods and unspoilt streams make for particularly delightful rides.
