Guided tours in Burghausen

The Burghausen tour guides stage the life of the rich Bavarian dukes in a varied way and also in colorful historical costumes. You learn interesting and amusing facts about a millennium of Burghausen life. The themed tours in particular bring history to life. In “Witches, whores and saints”, for example, it is shown what a fine line decided the fate of people in earlier times. The youngest guests find out whether the little knight also went to school or they listen eagerly to the scary, beautiful ghost stories in mysterious places in the castle.

Every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday from Easter to October there are public castle tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. From July to mid-September also on Thursdays and Fridays at 2 p.m.

Tours of the old town take place every first Saturday of the month at 2 p.m.

From mid-March to the beginning of November, public tours of the castle, old town and special themed tours take place regularly at weekends and in the summer months. Groups can book the tour of their choice on the date of their choice.
