Burgmuseum und Staatsgalerie Burghausen

The Palas, the princely building of the main castle, is the former living quarters of the Duke of Bavaria-Landshut. The inner castle chapel of St. Elisabeth is impressive and is considered to be the oldest Gothic chapel in southern Bavaria. The museum houses exhibits from Bavaria. The viewing platform on the roof of the main castle offers a breathtaking view over the entire city and all the way to the Alps.
