BRAUNAU RIVIERA ON THE INN

Located directly on the Inn, below the Inn-Salzach view, a piece of river landscape unfolds that surprises and delights with its quiet riverside spots, wild riparian forests and glistening oxbow lakes.
In the far west, the area begins on a quiet branch of the Inn - surrounded by dense, almost primeval forest-like greenery. Here, nature is simply allowed to be nature. No noise, no hustle and bustle - just birdsong, rustling leaves and a hint of wilderness.

Small creatures such as insects and worms cavort in the shallow shore zones - inconspicuous but vital. They are the buffet for countless waterfowl that rest, breed or moult here. Over 275 bird species have been counted so far, including over 120 breeding species - from herons to curlews, which feel particularly at home on the sandbanks.
