Protestant Church "Evangelische Dankbarkeitskirche"

Braunau am Inn, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The building that houses the Protestant Dankbarkeitskirche was originally the granary of a Capuchin monastery, which was dissolved by Emperor Joseph II in 1784.

In 1866, the merchant Jakob Schönthaler had it converted into a Protestant church. In 1970, the church was renovated and rededicated. The ornate copper portal was created by Resl Schröder-Lechner, a native of Braunau. The interior features a series of paintings by the artist Prof. Johannes Schreiber.
