Jausenstation "Jausenzeit" in Vöcklabruck

At the Lebenshilfe workshop on Ferdinand Öttl Street in Vöcklabruck, located in the former GKK premises, Lebenshilfe Upper Austria has opened a snack bar and an ironing service on the ground floor. The building is centrally located in Vöcklabruck, across from the district court and the bus station, with many businesses situated in the immediate vicinity. 

Jausenzeit
Ten people with intellectual disabilities work at the “Jausenzeit” snack bar. Jausenzeit offers savory and sweet snacks as well as hot and cold beverages. The menu includes: rolls topped to your liking, warm Leberkäse, salads, toast, yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, pastries, ice cream, and much more. There is also a great selection of sweet and savory breakfast options.

The café uses regional, seasonal, and Fairtrade products—including pastries from the Neudorfer Bakery, animal-welfare products from Hütthaler, dairy products from the Gröstlinger organic farm in Ottnang, organic ice cream from the Reisecker Ice Cream Factory, and Fairtrade coffee. The menu is continuously adapted and expanded based on guests’ wishes and suggestions. The delicious, homemade cakes and other offerings are prepared by the staff themselves. 

Employees of nearby government offices and companies can have their orders delivered. The premises are wheelchair-accessible, and there is ample parking. Snacks can be taken to go or enjoyed in the cozy snack bar with a lounge area. The interior, featuring lots of wood and the colors yellow, gray, blue, and turquoise, adds pops of color and a cozy atmosphere.
