Römermuseum Altheim

Under the motto "Innviertel the granary of the Roman Empire in Upper Austria", the museum provides information about agriculture, livestock farming and everyday life in a "villa rustica". Numerous exhibits and informative experience stations offer an exciting visit to the museum. A varied educational program awaits school classes.

The museum has a covered bike station, from which you can also get an "insight" into the museum outside of opening hours. The open-air Roman villa and bathing complex in "Villa Weirading" is just a few minutes' drive away. Here, visitors are introduced to life on a Roman estate and the associated pleasures of a luxurious bath (reconstruction).
