Yes, the lake is often pleasantly warm as early as May. The information sheets mention temperatures of around 23 to 24 degrees in May, and in the height of summer, 26 degrees is not uncommon. It can’t hurt to give it a go – so you’d better pack your swimming gear.
On the north bank, there is a beach resort (admission fee applies) with changing rooms, boat hire and a beach buffet. On the south bank, there is free access to the unspoilt shore, which features a children’s playground, changing rooms, toilets and a buffet; a small parking fee applies there.
