Tijdens de 3:30 uur durende route kunt u drie kastelen en enkele kenmerken van de door het christendom beïnvloede regio bewonderen. De rondwandeling met 2 kastelen begint op het kerkplein van de [**parochiekerk** ](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/401644/stadtpfarrkirche.html) in Grieskirchen. Als je in het centrum van Grieskirchen omhoog kijkt, zie je het stadsraster van Grieskirchen boven je hoofd. Nu ga je in de richting van de [**Schwibbogen**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/400388/schwibbogen.html) met zijn barokke fresco, die in 1604 werd gebouwd. Een paar huizen verder in deze richting vind je de [**Brauerei Grieskirchen**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/400701/brauerei-grieskirchen.html), waar sinds 1708 bier wordt gebrouwen. Een paar huizen verderop staat de [**Trinity Column**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/401242/dreifaltigkeitssaeule.html), die ook al sinds 1708 bestaat, maar pas sinds 1979 het stadsbeeld van Grieskirchen verrijkt. Ga nu linksaf richting de Trattnach en steek deze over. Volg de oever in noordwestelijke richting tot vlak voor de zagerij. Hier steek je de rivier weer over en met een lichte helling ga je nu richting [**Slot Tollet**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/401005/schloss-tollet.html). De eerste vestingwerken van het huidige kasteel werden in 1170 gebouwd. De renaissancestijl van het kasteel, die vandaag de dag nog steeds in al zijn pracht en praal te bewonderen is, ontstond aan het begin van de 17e eeuw. Vooral de sierlijk gesmede fontein op de binnenplaats en het hekwerk van de arcade, die dateren uit de tijd van de bouw, zijn het bekijken waard. De toren biedt een indrukwekkend uitzicht over het Trattnachtal. Vandaag de dag herbergt Kasteel Tollet appartementen, het stadskantoor van Tollet en het erfgoedcentrum van het district. Dit laatste biedt een representatieve dwarsdoorsnede van het culturele erfgoed van het district, het Bijenmuseum van de deelstaat Oberösterreich en een Wagner Museum in Kasteel Tollet. De gebouwen worden ook gebruikt voor verschillende tentoonstellingen en evenementen. Als u eenmaal genoeg hebt van het uitzicht en het kasteel, voert de route u verder omhoog en terug in de richting van Grieskirchen. Onderweg kun je het [**standbeeld van Johannes van Nepomuk**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/170243/hl-johannes-von-nepomuk.html) bewonderen. Daal de heuvel weer af naar de ingang van Grieskirchen, waar je ook het ziekenhuis passeert. Sla hier linksaf en loop over de Grabenstraße en de Hohlweg langs het nieuwe schoolcentrum in de richting van Parz. Het pad leidt u nu rechtstreeks naar kasteel Parz, waar u eerst het grotere [**Landschloss Parz**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/401869/landschloss-parz-mit-renaissancegarten.html) ziet, dat in 1514 werd gebouwd. De tuingevel van dit kasteel heeft fresco's uit de jaren 1580, die worden beschouwd als een belangrijk werk van Oostenrijkse en Zuid-Duitse renaissancekunst, zowel artistiek als iconografisch. Dankzij zorgvuldige restauratie zijn de fresco's over een lengte van 90 meter en een hoogte van 10 meter uitzonderlijk goed bewaard gebleven. De tuin van het landkasteel doet denken aan de renaissanceperiode, maar is vermengd met moderne interpretaties. Naast het landkasteel Parz ligt de [**Galerie Schloss Parz**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/430014160/galerie-schloss-parz.html). Dit werd voor het eerst vermeld in documenten als "Veste Parz" in de 14e eeuw. Het werd herbouwd na een brand in 1820 en daarom zijn er alleen overblijfselen van de voormalige waterburcht overgebleven. In de galerieruimtes worden regelmatig tentoonstellingen georganiseerd met werk van lokale en internationale kunstenaars. Terug op de 2 kastelenroute is je volgende stop de [**Annakapelle**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/400130/annakapelle.html). Het werd gebouwd in 1468, maar is onlangs gerenoveerd door de buurt en heeft nu weer een klok. De kapel is een laatgotisch gebouw met een prachtig ribgewelf en een portaal uit dezelfde stijlperiode. Het vroegbarokke altaar dateert waarschijnlijk uit de 17e eeuw. Volg het pad richting Grieskirchen nog ongeveer een kilometer, dan kom je terug op het kerkplein. Aangekomen zie je het [**Karbrunnen**](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/400854/karbrunnen.html), dat werd gebouwd in 1610 en 156 hectoliter water bevat. Je moet ook de [**parochiekerk** ](https://www.vitalwelt.at/oesterreich-poi/detail/401644/stadtpfarrkirche.html) van dichtbij bekijken. De kerk werd voor het eerst genoemd in een document uit 1075 en de buitenkant werd aan het eind van de 20e eeuw grondig gerenoveerd. Het is echt de moeite waard om het zowel van buiten als van binnen te bekijken. Het bijbehorende grafmonument van Sigmund von Polheim en zijn vrouw Potentiana is een kunsthistorische zeldzaamheid uit de 16e eeuw. Nu is het tijd voor wat verfrissingen, waarvan u kunt genieten in de vele restaurants, pubs en koffiehuizen in Grieskirchen. Please observe that there is an increased risk which can be avoided by means of appropriate attention and proper estimation and implementation of one’s own abilities. For this reason, please travel a route that is unfamiliar to you slowly and with special care. Pay constant attention to potential dangers and always observe traffic. Do not leave the routes featured in descriptions. The potential use of private roads, in particular forestry roads and agricultural transport roads, can be subject to legal restrictions, which must be observed and adhered to. The normal traffic rules apply. Each user (e.g. biker, motorbiker) is responsible for adhering to these rules and maintaining his/her bike/vehicle and its equipment (lights, brakes etc.) in good working order. Each user is also responsible for ensuring that he/she rides at a velocity that is appropriate for the conditions and his/her skill level and for maintaining sufficient distance to the rider in front. We explicitly recommend adjusting velocity to correspond to the respective field of vision, wearing a helmet, using reflective clothing (or similar) and employing bicycle lights in line with regulations. 3.Each tour requires good physical fitness as well as detailed planning. We explicitly recommend only taking the tours in the case of optimal healthiness. We recommend that you conclude an accident and liability insurance policy. Use an onboard computer that displays the respective kilometres travelled per day and is calibrated for the front wheel. 4.Special for mountain bikers – Fair-play rules: Mountain biking is one of the most wonderful outdoor leisure-time activities. Whilst biking or on a mountain biking tour, mountains and lakes, meadows and cabins are re-discovered in new ways. A couple of rules for fair play in the forest help to avoid conflicts whilst mountain biking. a.Pedestrians have the right of way: We are accommodating and friendly to pedestrians and hikers. Upon encountering these fellow travellers, we alert them by using the bicycle bell and slowly overtake them. We avoid paths with heavy pedestrian traffic altogether. Take nature into account: We do not leave refuse behind. b.The braking distance should be half of the total distance visible: We ride at a controlled pace, are ready to brake and maintain a braking distance half as long as the total distance visible, especially in curves, because we always have to count on obstacles on the path. Damage to the path, stones, branches, wood piles, grazing livestock, cattle grids, barriers, tractor-type forestry machines and authorised vehicles pose dangers that we need to be ready for. c.Don’t drink and drive!: Do not drink alcohol when mountain biking. Take care at stop-off points (dealing with bike racks, dirty shoes or clothing). It is obligatory to provide first aid! d.Marked routes, closed paths and blockades: Keep to the marked routes, observe the blockades and accept that these roads are primarily for agricultural and forestry use! Blockades can often not be avoided and are in your own interest. Biking beyond the intended path and outside of opening times is punishable and turns us into illegal bikers. e.We are guests in the forest and behave accordingly, including vis-à-vis forestry and hunting staff. Whilst mountain biking, mobile telephones and music players are forbidden! Biking requires your full attention. f.Avoid unnecessary noise. Out of consideration to the animals living in the wild, we only bike during full daylight. As a principle, we always wear our helmet (even when riding uphill)! Don’t forget emergency supplies: We always have a repair set and bandages along. g.Don’t overestimate your skills: We should not overdo it when it comes to biking technique and physical fitness. Take the level of difficulty posed by the route into consideration and make a precise estimate of your experience and skills as a biker (braking, bell, lights)! h.Close gates: We approach grazing livestock at a walking pace and close every gate behind us. We should avoid causing escape and panic reactions in the animals. Nothing stands in the way of the fun and athletic challenge in the mountains and forests! i.Traffic rules: The general traffic rules (StVO) apply for all the mountain biking routes and we adhere to them. Our bike therefore needs to be in perfect technical condition and equipped in line with the traffic rules, including brakes, a bell and lights.
