Franking - Holzöster am See is the right place for anyone looking for peace and relaxation, who wants to enjoy the beauty of nature and appreciates a wide range of leisure activities. The 10.4 km² small community with just under 1000 inhabitants (divided into 9 villages) is a jewel in the landscape and lies on the northern edge of the Ibmer Moor and the Weidmoos bird paradise. Since the early 1950s, emphasis has been placed on a tranquil, peaceful form of tourism and is therefore very much back in vogue. During a cosy chat, we are happy to help with questions about leisure activities, excursions, cultural offers,... and often have a very special tip for you. Holzöster am See is an ideal starting point for cycle tours on traffic-calmed side roads or hikes on well-marked paths through meadows and forests. Hiking and golf are combined in our hiking farm golf course. Equipped with a club, wooden ball and hiking map, you play your way through nature. Along the hiking trails, a kind of oversized mini-golf course has been constructed from old farming equipment. Here you can enjoy nature with all your senses.
