The old school, the **"Kaiser Franz Josef Jubilee Primary School"**, operated until 1971. In the **autumn of 1971**, the students moved into the new school building at the current location. **In 2003**, the school was **renovated externally**, and in **2009**, a **new wing** was constructed between the primary school and the secondary school. In the years **2017 and 2018**, the school was **renovated internally**. The classrooms are now modernly designed and equipped with the latest technology. The following year, the **schoolyard** was renovated and equipped with new playground equipment and seating areas. For several years, VS Bad Schallerbach has offered the **separate form of all-day school**. Currently, around **200 children** attend the school and are supported by about **25 teachers** as well as the **recreational support team**.
