In 1996, the timber harvesting company Voraberger was founded in Rottenbach (Upper Austria). Due to the increasing demand over the years, the focus was specialized on the production of wood chips. Through the accumulated know-how of Voraberger in biomass technology and wood delivery, the company increasingly concentrated on professional technology and decided, based on customer requests, to also trade in new and used machinery. In 2012, the company VM-machinery GmbH was founded, which focuses on the trade of forestry equipment. Today, Markus Voraberger, the managing director of the company, serves customers all over Europe. Also, Kronos, a Finnish manufacturer of forwarding trailers and forestry equipment for professional use, relies on the expertise of VM-machinery GmbH in serving the Austrian market.
