The parish church was built from 1871 to 1875 according to the plans of architect [Hermann Wehrenfennig](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Wehrenfennig "Hermann Wehrenfennig") Construction began on 26 June 1872. The exterior of the church was completed in October 1874 and **the consecration** could be celebrated on **15 November 1875**.
