We listen to the various bird calls such as "song" or warning calls and imitate them in a joint moorland bird concert. After arriving at the Ibmer Moor, we learn about the special features of the habitat of our moorland birds. At the moorland bird concert we try to imitate the bird sounds such as singing and warning calls. Which bird am I? The participants are assigned to the three bird species using cards. In a cultivated meadow, the appropriate nesting hollows are built with the collected nesting material. Loud territorial songs are heard. The eggs are laid, both parents are incubating... And the young have already hatched. The parent birds collect various insects and feed the hungry young, who open their beaks wide. But oops, what was that? - A fox creeps crouched through the meadow. The warning calls sound loudly and breathtaking distraction maneuvers are performed. The young birds remain silent until the mischief is over. Once the danger has passed, all the moorland birds give a joyful, even bleating concert.After these efforts, we eat the delicacies we have brought with us and then take a leisurely walk through the atmospheric moorland area and learn about the carnivorous plants, the swampy, "wobbly" moorland soil and interesting facts about this strictly protected moorland area.
