The linen weavers' guild was once the most important guild in Ried. In the 16th century, 900 people earned their living from this flourishing craft. The name "Weberzeile" is already used in an engraving by Franz Xaver Fux from 1790 and gives the street its name again today. Numerous weavers actually lived and worked in the western Vormarkt. Along Weberzeile and Rainerstraße, as well as in Ried's historic squares, the "Interwoven" themed trail invites you to immerse yourself in the history of linen weaving in Ried. 10 stations provide information about living and working conditions and the historical significance of linen weaving.
