**Accessibility Statement**
===========================

The Quellenviertel Tourism Association endeavours to ensure that its websites and mobile applications comply with the Provincial Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination on the Grounds of Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief, Disability, Age, Gender or Sexual Orientation (Upper Austrian Anti-Discrimination Act – Upper Austrian ADG) (Section 15b) and the Regulation on the requirements for accessible access to websites and mobile applications within the remit of the Upper Austrian ADG (Upper Austrian WEBVO 2020) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This accessibility statement applies to the following websites and mobile applications: [www.quellenviertel.at](https://www.vitalwelt.at/en/)

**1. Information on operation and accessibility**
-------------------------------------------------

### **a) Access keys**

To facilitate page navigation, we have incorporated access keys to the key sections of each page. To avoid conflicts with pre-defined operating system shortcuts, the number keys have been assigned these functions. The following access keys are available:

0 to the home page
1 to the navigation
2 to the content
3 to the contact page
 4 to the sitemap
5 to the search
6 to the top of the page
7 to the legal notice
8 to the position indicator

Depending on your browser and operating system, use the key shown above in combination with a specific control key:

- Internet Explorer: Alt + \[key\]
- Firefox: Alt + Shift key (Windows and Linux) or Ctrl (Mac) + \[key\]
- Google Chrome: Alt (Windows), Ctrl + Opt (Mac) or Alt + Shift (Linux)
- Opera: Shift + Esc opens a context menu listing the available access keys. These are confirmed by pressing Enter

### **b) Responsive web design**

Thanks to its responsive web design, our website is optimised for a wide variety of devices (mobile phones, tablets, desktop computers). Content elements (e.g. images, page layout, size) are automatically optimised for the best possible readability and adapted to the respective screen size.

### **c) Keyboard navigation**

The main menu can be navigated using the keyboard (up, down, right and left arrow keys). The image gallery (lightbox) can be closed using the ESC key. For accommodation, restaurants, tours, attractions etc., the tabs and accordions can be opened or closed using the Tab and Enter keys.

### **d) Accommodation search**

Please note that loading times may be longer when searching for available accommodation for a specific period. The system queries a wide range of accommodation providers. Accommodation listings can be filtered according to various criteria. There is no ‘Submit’ button here; the accommodation details are automatically refreshed.

**2. Status of compliance with requirements**
---------------------------------------------

These websites and mobile applications are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 – AA and the accessibility requirements in accordance with DIN EN 301 549 V2.1.2, Edition 2018-08.

**3. Content that is not or only partially accessible**
-------------------------------------------------------

The content listed below is not accessible, or is only partially accessible, for the following reasons:

### **a) Incompatibility / disproportionate burden**

- **PDF and Word documents** (particularly older documents) used on the websites are not accessible. If you require content from one of our PDF or Word documents, please contact us. We will endeavour to provide you with the information in another format.
- **The videos** used on our websites are currently not accessible. Adapting them would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We are endeavouring to make the videos accessible as soon as possible.
- All **images** should be accessible to screen reader users via alternative text. If, in exceptional cases, an image is not described with alternative text and the content is therefore only partially accessible, please let us know.
- We endeavour to write our **texts** largely without abbreviations or foreign words. We also avoid convoluted sentence structures. If you find a text difficult to understand and therefore consider it to be only partially accessible, please contact us. We will endeavour to provide you with an easily understandable version.
- **Lists** such as accommodation lists, events lists, restaurants lists, POI lists, offers lists, town and region lists, as well as the report lists, are based on structured data from TOURDATA and are currently only partially accessible. When a website user applies a filter to a list, the content of the results is automatically reloaded (using the AJAX function). This poses a problem for people with visual impairments who use screen readers. This is because screen readers do not detect changes to content that has already been read. Improvements to our lists are planned for 2021.

### **b) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation**

- Recorded time-based media, such as **video and audio media**, published before 23 September 2020.
- **Interactive maps** are currently not accessible. Given current technical capabilities, making these maps accessible would require a disproportionately high level of effort.
- **Third-party content**: Our websites are partly based on content from a decentralised tourism database. Our content partners are required to provide text and media in an accessible format. However, no statement can be made regarding the compliance of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.

### **c) Other information**

- **Spam protection / reCAPTCHA**: To protect against spam and bulk emails, we require a so-called ‘reCAPTCHA’ function for our contact forms. This function is not accessible. If you are unable to use a form due to this function, please send us an email at <info@quellenviertel.at> or call us on +43 7249 420 71 0.

**4. Enquiries and suggestions**
--------------------------------

The Quellenviertel Tourism Association attaches great importance to the ongoing adaptation and optimisation of its websites and mobile applications. If you have any questions regarding the use of the website or suggestions regarding its content, please contact us by email at: <info@quellenviertel.at>

We will review your enquiry and inform you of the outcome, as well as any measures taken or planned, within 2 months. Enquiries regarding content on websites and mobile applications that are exempt from the obligation to comply with accessibility requirements and are not accessible will also be answered within 2 months.

**5. Enforcement procedures**
